Only by opening a book can you be propelled into a limitless world.
One of the things I love about fiction is the escape it offers for both the reader and the writer.
My debut novel, Saving Jason, has been described as an emotional rollercoaster. This heart-heavy book takes the reader through the mental trauma caused by wartime PTSD. In my second book, Underwater Secrets, readers travel back to the sixties, when life was a little more laid back at the start of the sexual revolution.
In this collection, Grace McKenna's gift leads her to settings and characters all over the map. In Never Tell, we take a step back into the eighties, detailing the fluorescent colors and over-the-top styles. In Buried Secrets, we explore the bottom of the ocean, following a little girl's disappearance. And now, in Family Photos, we get to lengthen our stride and go back to the fifties, to live alongside a high society family that has kept secrets well into the future.
Bringing an era back to life through words is one of the many things that I love about writing. But it's time I put the fun in your hands.
